The battery case involving a sitting Member of Parliament has been delayed until December 10 due to health concerns.

MP Asot Michael stands accused of assaulting a police officer during a Fete last year.

Having pleaded not guilty, the defendant was due to have his no-case submission reviewed by the court today, but the hearing has been postponed for medical reasons.

  1. It’s MENTAL. Mental disease is more of a burden on the Medical profession today because mental disease is a MEDICAL CONDITION as well.
    Asot is mentally unstable!

  2. “medical complications”??? anything to do with the recent article about EMS Abuse? the police officer have medical issues?

Disco Dumpling stomach staples falling out?

  3. NONSENSICAL ADJOURNMENT…? …MEDIOCRITY REPORTING…? …BE STILL AND LEARN

A BATTERY CASE IS TOO DARN LONG TO BE ON THE ÇOURT’S CALENDAR.

    NONSENSICAL/MAGISTERIAL LAZINESS

The ‘…ADJOURNMENT’ not only appears ‘…NONSENSICAL,’ but also inferentially speaks to ‘…MAGISTERIAL LAZINESS.

    MEDIOCRITY REPORTING

If the information in this news story on delivering a ‘…RULING ON A SUBMISSION OF NO CASE TO ANSWER,’ is correct, then the ‘…JOURNALIST’ reporting on the developments in the ‘…Magistrate’s Court’ runs the risk of being ‘…GUILTY OF MEDIOCRITY REPORTING.’

    WHY

Such ‘…RULING’ may be’ rightly delivered:

    (a) ‘…In the ‘…ABSENCE OF THE DEFENDANT: but

    (b) …In the ‘…PRESENCE OF ATTORNEY.’

Inferences might be drawn that both may have been ÁBSENT.’

    OUTSIDE OF THESE LEGITIMATE EXCUSES:

    (i) ‘…APPEARANCE BEFORE THE HIGH COURT OF JUSTICE: or

(ii) …MEDICAL REASONS’ (Presentation of Medical Certificate), this darn ‘…ATTORNEY’ may be ‘…REPLACED.’

    NOW

    Be it in the:

    (i) ‘…JUDICIARY (High Court):

(ii) …MAGISTRACY (Summary Court),’ the language that may have been used is ‘…ADJOURNED.’

In the interest of ‘…JUSTICE,’ the ‘…ADJUDICATOR’ (Judge or Magistrate) if ‘…SATISFIED’ with the ‘…EXCUSE’ given to the ‘…COURT’ for the ‘…NON-APPEARANCE’ of:

    (a) ‘…AN ACCUSED: OR

    (b) …A DEFENDANT,’ then the ‘…ÇOURT’ may ‘…GRANT AN ADJOURNMENT’ of the proceedings.’

    NOT GRANTED ‘…DELAY.’

    BE STILL AND LEARN.

  4. The police had his issue already he need to stop putting the blame on asot say the truth of the real problem lie lie lie
