The Executive of the Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) is pleased to announce its list of nominees for the upcoming National Sports Awards.
The nominees are as follows:
- Sportsman of the Year- Mr. Adonis Humphreys
- Junior Sportsman of the Year- Mr. Craig Massiah
- Junior Sportswoman of the Year- Miss Kinisha James
- Coach of the Year- George Hughes
- Official of the Year- Mr. Cedric ‘Supa’ David
- Sports Administrator of the Year- Miss Carlena Knight
To be recognized among some of the Nation’s top athletes, officials and administrators is truly a great achievement, and the Association, under the directorship of its President, Mr Michael Freeland, commends the athletes on this high accolade.
Each of the nominees, in their respective categories, demonstrated a high level of performance at all levels,
and at the same time, showed commitment to the sport and its continued development, in Antigua and
Barbuda.
The National Sports Awards will be held on Saturday March 2 2024 under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sports and the Creative Industries at the St. John’s Pentecostal Church: House of Restoration located on Lauchland Benjamin Drive.
