Barnes Funeral Home Ltd., Antigua and Barbuda’s oldest funeral service provider, has opened a new facility at Irwing Barnes Close, off American Road.

Founded in 1928 by Irwing Barnes and later run by his son, Noel Barnes, the family business is now led by third-generation funeral director Jessica L. Barnes.

The new, custom-built location is designed to offer a modern, peaceful space for grieving families, while maintaining the company’s longstanding tradition of compassionate care.

  1. Can you imagine the impact of this move on traffic on the already congested Factoey Road, especially during peak hours? 🤔🤔

  2. It’s great to hear Barnes Funeral Home has a new, modern facility. For families dealing with loss, a comfortable and respectful environment is so important. I hope this new space allows them to continue providing the compassionate service they are known for.

  3. Rumors were going around that the funeral home was air-mark to be constructed east of the Old Fiennes Institution. I guess rumors had it wrong. This funeral home needs to do better with the dead… some of the bodies you can’t even recognize them the day of the funeral.
