Seven Barbudan children and their guardians or other relatives were invited to Government House following the sudden death of their mother during the Christmas season.
The families were welcomed at Government House by Their Excellencies Sir Rodney Williams and Lady Williams, the staff of Government House, Halo Generation Y and Betsy and Brian Babcock of Samaritan’s Purse.
The family members were presented with gifts and snacks to help bring them cheer in the Christmas season.
Lady Williams said that she was pleased to be a part of those helping the Barbudans enjoy the Christmas season, in spite of the loss of a family member.
The Governor General told the gathering that he was happy to have the Barbudans visit Government house especially since it was their very first visit.
