🀝 The new Multipurpose Community Centre’s designs are currently being finalized, incorporating recommendations from the Barbuda Council. This edifice will enhance community life and safety by facilitating cultural events, hosting community programmes, and providing additional shelter capacity.

πŸ›£οΈ Upgrades to the new airport road and the Two Foot Bay road are top priorities currently under review as road construction progresses, with dialogue ongoing with the Barbuda Council. After planning is complete, local contractors will be encouraged to bid on the confirmed road projects, which will enhance commuter comfort and boost Barbuda’s economic development prospects.

Empowered by a USD 31 million CDB loan and additional government investment, these components of the Rehabilitation and Restoration (RRL) Project underscore our commitment to delivering robust infrastructural development on our sister isle.

Completed plans include:

πŸ› οΈ Renovated Barbuda Council Administrative Building

πŸ› οΈ Rehabilitation of the Community Centre, with retrofit for emergency shelter use

πŸ—οΈ New NODS (National Office of Disaster Services) Operations Centre

Special thanks to the Project Implementation Management Unit within the Ministry of Works for their dedication and excellence in advancing the RRL Project.

  1. Totally misleading article.
First: there is already a community center building built by the Chinese during UPPs time.

Second : What is the purpose of this The new Multipurpose Community Centre designed to look like a farmhouse in the Prairie by a Canadian architect. What’s the point of a particularly plan?
Barbudans don’t fall for the PR bull as easily as their Antiguans counterparts

Thirdly: The repaving has been in fits and stops disrupting people’s life.
Consistently work on and finish the road repair, before you start taking bows Pixie-Trixie. The interest rate is running on the loan from CDB

  2. Infrastructure is the backbone of growth, this push could set the stage for more opportunities on the island.
