  1. So Bonita John retire from the RPFAB to get involved in politics and still did not capture a seat? Smh! Not the brightest bulb in the chandelier…..

  2. ANR so deflated that they can’t write a story on the Barbuda elections. All they can do is to just post figures.
    More coming for the ALP.
Note that I did not say ABLP. This elections is proof that labour is DEAD in Barbuda.
I cannot wait for the narcissist’s analysis on Saturday.
I hope Antiguans learn and follow the the resolve of Barbudans.
Arthur Nibbs now has more time to concentrate on and grow his locks.

  3. Gaston flooded flooded Barbuda and the Voting area within and outside the school police.

With the Russian Lady pursuing him and Barbudans rejecting him soundly.

Time for the Gaston Brown to focus on the legal proceeding against him that says: The “CURRUPTION OF GASTON BROWN”
The legal paperwork does not say and Antigua and Barbuda.
Keep out of Barbuda Gaston, or we will ask the judge to give us permission to join the case against you .

  4. Gaston lost big for a number of reasons.

Among them is the issue where he and his family is trying to turn 15 and a half acres of beachfront land given to his father inlaw at the Dulcina area into over 100 hundred acres.

He lost Big for he has flooded Barbuda with Police in the last 6 weeks, while young girls are being murdered, people are disappearing, crime is rampant on ANTIGUA

  5. They have nothing to write until they hear from Gaston and Anthony Asterphan his Barbuda go to guy.
They need to focus on the lawsuits in Russia about the boat, and his hundred of millions in EU banks, that got their thought money laundering.
This is the beginning of the end of “Gaston Brown the bloviator”

  6. Sigh! Another colossal waste of state resources. Hon. PM, please concentrate your time and efforts on Antigua. We need the pearls you keep casting away here in Antigua. History will absolve you for your efforts but enough is enough, because Barbudans are just Barbudans! Nuff said

  7. Now that you lost in Barbuda you are loosing in the US Courts and know you are going to loose in The Russia Courts while the UAE courts will show how the monies are laudered.

That apartment in Saudi Arabia should be out up for sale NOW.

Antigua and Barbuda Tax Payers should not be paying to defend a lawsuit when they the tax payers or the Country are not being sued.
We do not know how much is budgeted for defence. We do not know what law firms are we financing to defend a personal lawsuit against the Prime Minister .
Ant respectable news portal would want to find out and I firm the public

  8. The people of Barbuda have overwhelmingly chosen the BPM as part of the governance of Barbuda. The message could not have been clearer. Government and the Barbuda Council must find ways to work together in the interest of all Antiguans and Barbudans. Barbudans must have a say in their governance.

  9. @Audley Phillip, at el

I would guess that most people have not read the “The Barbuda Local Government Act.” I suspect you are among them. No offence I hope
When the ABLP controls the Barbuda Council they have subordinated themselves to the Central Government against the basic wishes of the Barbuda people.

Barbudans are not objecting to working with the Central Government. That is a falicy perpetuated by The Gaston Brown government and his allies.

The statement of Barbudans and The Central Government needs to find ways of working together is a overworked misleading and rethorical statement

Now we have the election results.

First step The Central Government needs to remove the large contingent Police Force they have placed in Barbuda.
You can’t get corporation with intimidation.

Those Police in Barbuda are needed in Antigua, to search for missing people and solve crimes which continues to spiral.

Second and simple: The Central Government needs to follow the laws. What do that mean?

The law says any commercial resort project of $5.5 million has to go through a specific approval process. Follow the process and don’t pass Acts that are in violation of The Barbuda Local Government Act, which is a part of the Constitution.

The law also clearly outlines how residential land is to be distributed among Barbudans, and for Barbudans commercial and grazing purposes.
The law has no provisions for housing development such as the one at Karel Hill.

Barbudans will be willing to work with Central Government if The Central Government do not impose it wishes and goals for development on Barbuda that does not benefit Barbudans
Follow those basic steps and Barbudans will be willing to work with the Central Government.

Antiguan ABLP Government Officials and their media supportors have been practicing “Lawfare” on Barbudans.

Barbudans already have a say in their Governance. It’s just that first Antiguans do not know know and or refuses to recognize that fact.

  10. @Faithful National #1
A broken clock is right twice per day. Yep! 1. The Antiguan tax payers money being used to defend Gaston Browne and his partners in the Alpha Nero cases, when then are being deposed personally and not as employees of agents of the Government of Antigua and Barbuda.
    2. The money being spent on the additional police presence on Barbuda to protect lands his family is illegally trying to take over and at Karel Hill

Further: The police presence at Katel Hill where old women now have to get a letter from the police to make their way to their farms, in the area if the I’ll fated Housing Project.

You are right. Barbudans do not want nor do they need and neither gave they requested this housing project.

Do why would the nan your are faithful to choose to build such a project?
    It’s not for Barbudans

To bad their is no media that will inform you if the facts and events. Do you are solely dependent on the propaganda.

I’m fully aware that your response is to stay silent, or be insultive. So be beautiful yourself.

  11. The Barbuda Council elections was a farce: according to the results, 3,634 persons voted.
That, as far as I know, exceeds the total population of Barbuda. Didn’t anyone notice that?

  12. @ Charlie Simon,
Before you cast desperations, educate yourself and or ask questions.

You obviously do not understand the election system in Barbuda.

Every voter is asked to vote for 5 candidates.
It’s a Local Government Election. Not a Parliamentary election, or Presidential election.
That impacts the final count. It’s among the many differences between Antigua and Barbuda.
Any extra votes are those individuals who now claim Barbudan residency and was able to get a voter card.
In our view, they should not been allowed to vote. But Gaston’s people control the voters rolls.
Any extra voters, they are ABLP plants. In the mean time, educate yourself on Barbuda, there is much to learn .

  13. Less than 749 people voted.
Fifty percent of Labor people stayed home, for they are not pleased with what Gaston and the ABLP wants to do in Barbuda.
Even the people working at PLH are the ones who stated away from the polls.
What does that say: Even the people that are working at Nobu and PLH are not suppostive of Mega developments.

There are those who say they need to work together.

You can’t work with someone who don’t want to know your views and concept for development or respect your hegemony; but impose their own which are not to your benefit, but to fill their pockets

  14. The GBLP,(Gaston Browne Labor Party). They tried to resurrect Arthur Nibbs. How did it fair off for him. The man Nibbs did say. The Labor Party operated like Gangsters. They believed in Gangsterism.A way de crocus bag a money garne. It left Antigua for Barbuda and was never seen again.Do you folks remembered that story.
