Barbuda International Airport Set to Open October 3
Barbuda’s new International Airport is scheduled to open on October 3, 2024, after receiving final approvals from the Eastern Caribbean Civil Aviation Authority (ECCAA).

The clearance was granted today following the successful completion of essential regulatory procedures.
This marks a significant milestone for the nation’s civil aviation and tourism sectors and is expected to accelerate economic growth on Barbuda, with plans to position the island as a premier high-end tourism destination.
Additionally, the Government has initiated discussions on potential developments at the site of the old airport facility.
