LOOP- Not only did criminal elements break into the home of a 74-year-old woman this weekend, but they were brazen enough to steal a fruitcake that the pensioner was looking forward to this yuletide season.
The victim told police that she secured her home along Hosein Avenue in Gulf View, San Fernando, on Saturday evening and went away.
Upon returning around 7:30 am the following day, she observed that one of her doors was ajar.
Upon investigating, she discovered that her home was ransacked and several items were missing, including one black 32-inch flat screen television, one bunch of house keys, along with one nine-inch by four-inch fruit cake, valued at TT$300.
The woman notified the police and a team of officers from the San Fernando Police station responded.

@Who cares I also asked myself what is the relevance of that story to us. When I read the headline, even though it said Trinidad woman, I actually thought the incident occurred in Antigua. ANR there are many stories here in Antigua and you did not have to take that from LOOP.
