Baltimore Widens Lead as Fifth Box Counted in St. Philip North By-Election
Randy Baltimore of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) has further extended his lead in the St. Philip North by-election after the fifth of seven ballot boxes was counted.
Results from Polling Division B — Nelvie N. Gore Primary School (K–R) show Baltimore receiving 137 votes, while United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne secured 64 votes. Four ballots were rejected.
With five boxes now counted, Baltimore’s total rises to 680 votes, while Browne has accumulated 320 votes.
The count continues with two ballot boxes remaining as election officials move closer to declaring a final result in the by-election triggered by the retirement of longtime Member of Parliament Sir Robin Yearwood.

Randy Baltimore of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) continues to hold a commanding lead in the St. Philip North by-election as results from four of the seven ballot boxes have now been counted.
Preliminary figures show Baltimore with 543 votes, representing 67.96 percent of the ballots counted so far. United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne has received 256 votes, accounting for 32.04 percent.
The latest tally follows earlier counts that placed Baltimore ahead in each of the boxes opened so far. With four of the seven ballot boxes now processed, election officials are continuing the count to determine the final outcome.
The by-election was called following the retirement of longtime St. Philip North Member of Parliament Sir Robin Yearwood, whose departure ended a parliamentary career spanning roughly five decades.

Randy Baltimore of the Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party (ABLP) has widened his early lead in the St. Philip North by-election after results from the third of seven ballot boxes were counted.
The latest box added 117 votes for Baltimore and 33 for United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne, strengthening the ABLP candidate’s advantage as the count progresses.
Earlier results from the first two boxes had already placed Baltimore ahead, with 143 votes to Browne’s 86 in the first box and 156 to 82 in the second.
With three of the seven boxes now counted, Baltimore has accumulated 416 votes, while Browne stands at 201 votes. Election officials are continuing the tally, with four boxes still to be counted.

Preliminary results from the first two polling divisions show Baltimore securing 299 votes, representing 64.03 percent of ballots counted so far. United Progressive Party (UPP) candidate Alex Browne has received 168 votes, or 35.97 percent.
The early figures place Baltimore ahead as the vote tabulation continues across the 5 remaining polling stations in the constituency. Officials began counting shortly after polls closed following a day of generally calm voting that election authorities described as slow at times but steady throughout the day.
The by-election was triggered by the retirement of longtime St. Philip North representative Sir Robin Yearwood, who stepped down earlier this year after a parliamentary career spanning five decades.
Election officials are continuing the count, with additional results expected as ballots from the remaining polling divisions are processed.
