As a very passionate and self-motivating individual who is always looking for new concepts and ideas to make a difference in her community, or any organization she is involved in, Bakesha saw a need to empower others.

She recently made a donation to the Pigotts Primary school to assist with the purchasing of security cameras to help safeguard the school plant.

With this vision and passion for community development, one of her key areas of focus will be ‘to ‘Collaborate with schools in the Community’

Her key objectives are:

  1. Enhance Quality of Life: Re-establish St. Georges as a place where all residents can sustainably enjoy a high quality of life.

2. Clean and Safe Environment: Ensure our constituency is clean, with community watch groups for protection and safety.

3. Community Engagement: Listen to residents’ concerns and create safe spaces for collaboration and open dialogue.

4. Mental Health and Substance Abuse: Address mental health and substance abuse issues with targeted programs and support.

5. Youth, Disabled, and Elderly Outreach: Introduce comprehensive outreach programs to support these key groups.

6. Education and Skills Development: Focus on improving educational facilities, providing scholarships, and offering skills enhancement and job readiness programs.

7. Community Development: Invest in the preservation and development of our community for future generations, including infrastructure improvements and environmental initiatives.

8. Economic Growth and Entrepreneurship: Support small businesses, promote financial literacy, and advocate for a better cost of living.
