ABAA Hosts Safety Workshop Amid Parental Concerns Over Kidnappings
Amid growing safety concerns in Antigua and Barbuda, the Antigua and Barbuda Athletic Association (ABAA), in collaboration with local coaches, hosted a safety workshop for young athletes.
The session featured Senior Sergeant Spencer and Inspector Morgan, who spoke to the athletes about personal safety, situational awareness, and the importance of looking out for one another. Their presentations aimed to empower the athletes with practical tips on how to stay safe in the current climate.
The workshop was well-attended and saw active participation from the athletes. At the end of the session, Geron Henry of PSE and Aleemah Rhiney of SuperNova Athletics presented tokens of appreciation to the law enforcement officers for their guidance and support.

Did Miguel Francis retired? I think he was here receiving an award at PMS lately, but I’ve been trying to follow him since he switched allegiance to the UK and not once have I saw him in a British outfit.
I know it’s real tough to represent the USA as an athlete, but I thought Miguel Francis had a great chance on representing and wearing the UK flag, since he was at the top of his prime.
Miguel had a few injuries and he should be close to 30yrs old now, so I guess he is finished.
