Assistant Commissioner of Police Desmond Dinard has been awarded the King’s Police Medal (KPM), one of the highest honours for distinguished police service.
The Royal Police Force of Antigua and Barbuda announced the award on Wednesday, congratulating Dinard on the recognition.
According to the force, the medal acknowledges his distinguished service, exemplary leadership, and significant contributions to policing at both the national and regional levels.
In a statement, the police commended Dinard for the achievement and thanked him for his unwavering dedication to the safety and security of Antigua and Barbuda.
The King’s Police Medal is awarded in recognition of exceptional service by members of police forces across the Commonwealth.

Congratulations, Assistant Commissioner Dianrd. This award is well deserved for the long and distinguished career you have had. If memory serves me correctly, you have given over 45 years of service to the Royal Police Force and to the people of Antigua and Barbuda. I trust that you will also be conferred a national award in this year’s Independence celebrations. Continue to be an example of discipline and a mentor to younger officers in the force!
