POINTE XPRESS – A team consisting of government officials, representatives from Antigua Power Company Ltd.-Caribbean LNG, and the US embassy in Barbados celebrated the arrival of two substantial storage tanks for a forthcoming Liquid Natural Gas (LNG) power plant in Crabbes.

Minister of Utilities and Energy, Melford Nicholas, highlighted LNG’s role in Antigua and Barbuda’s pursuit of carbon neutrality and its economic advantages.

The specialized tanks will facilitate the country’s strategic positioning in energy generation and distribution, serving ships and supporting exports.

Caribbean LNG’s Francis Hadeed emphasized the unique capabilities of the LNG terminal, predicting it will make Antigua and Barbuda an energy leader in the sub-region.

  1. No comments? Strange!!! Hey Brixtonian there must be some negative spin you can put to all this. Where are you? Oh probably busy thinking. I await the negativity.

    • Money goes to those that take the chance to invest. And since this investment is in the main interest of the country, they are more than welcome. The only thing I wish the Hadeed would one day do is to solicit funds from the public and sell ten percent of their company to Small Private Investors. Rather than to have their monies sitting in the bank collecting less than two percent interest.
The parable below tells you that if you do not invest you will not earn anything.
The “Parable of the Talents”, in Matthew 25:14–30 tells of a master who was leaving his house to travel, and, before leaving, entrusted his property to his servants. According to the abilities of each man, one servant received five talents, the second had received two, and the third received only one.
