Armanii Announces He Will Not Perform at UPP Labour Day Concert in Antigua

Music fans were left surprised late Sunday night after popular artist Armanii announced on Instagram that he will not be in Antigua for the highly anticipated Labour Day 2025 concert at Ffryes Beach, despite being billed as a featured act.

In a brief Instagram Story posted to his verified account just after 11:30 p.m., Armanii stated plainly, “I will not be in Antigua,” without offering any further explanation.

The announcement comes as a blow to supporters of the United Progressive Party (UPP), which is hosting the Labour Day celebration featuring a lineup of local and regional entertainers. Armanii was prominently featured on promotional flyers alongside fellow performer Ayetian and several other artists scheduled to take the stage on Monday.

As of early Monday morning, no official statement had been issued by event organisers addressing Armanii’s absence, though social media was already abuzz with reposts of the artist’s story. His Instagram reel from earlier also featured a personal moment with his child, hinting at possible family priorities.

While the artist has not elaborated on the reason behind his withdrawal, his confirmation puts an end to speculation and raises questions about whether he was officially contracted for the performance or if plans changed last minute.

The concert at Ffryes Beach is still expected to proceed with its scheduled lineup, including Daddy Barlow & Revo Band, Kutting Edge, Vicious, Queen Ivena, and others.

No word yet on whether a replacement act will be added.

  3. @ polotics tek over labour day
Chuptz!!! Here we go again, blaming your betters for your incompetent leadership and blatant deception! You knew very well that the performer”s name was used WITHOUT HIS PERMISSION again just to FOOL fooley people into believing you were capable of evev this low level of organizing! Bunch of idiots!
    Ah beyyyy! 😭😭😭😭

  4. Why would the UPP want to bring this hungry belly here? We need to start supporting our own. We don’t need that rag rag music here.

  5. I was waiting on the comment that would blame the labor party for this! The never booked the Artist, in true Upp fashion they Lied once again to the people, Antiguans are some very slow people more so the upp supporters, dunce like how them look.

  6. Reading the comments here and on the Facebook page just proves one thing about UPP and their supporters. They will ALWAYS MKVE THE GOAL POST when it’s convenient for them. Had this been ABLP they would have dragged them to hell for not booking an overseas act just like last year labour day when celebration at Fort ended before 10:00 pm. UPP is once again cought with them pants down now scrambling and making excuses and of course them slower than slothes supporters go say ah ABLP pay the man not to come when them never book he in the first place. If anyone with the slightest knowledge of the entertainment business knows u can’t book an artist at the last minute it takes weeks or even months and it depends on the artist schedule . Anyways blue folks fret not ya hearts yall welcome to come join the party at Fort James beach. Yall can even wear them blue shirts
