APUA Urges Residents to Pay Utility Bills or Face Disconnection

The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) is warning residents in several communities to clear outstanding utility bills or risk immediate disconnection.

A list obtained by Antigua Newsroom reveals that non-payment could lead to loss of electricity, water, and internet services as early as today.

Residents are advised to confirm whether their area is listed and act promptly to avoid service disruptions.

  1. Only the poor and vulnerable can face disconnection! What happened to the big business interests and monied class? Are they exempted from disconnection?

  2. @sea shells: old Pahram road in a maria constituency.
Fact is who run APUA is who call the shot, the private family power company can call on APUA to be prompt and tardy with their payments, the real electricity manager is at hadeed power company, the one at APUA is just a facade or marionette for this private interest, his position is redundant because we don’t generate power anymore, what is broken down and they give us to play with won’t cut it, and all them comrade building Apua gone rent when they have their own. The APUA need a generation engineer that senior the the electricity manager, and that generation engineer will keep the generating plant going and rightfully put the electricity manager out there to attend to the leaning and sagging wires and poles.
