  1. So many customers have had their appliances damaged as a result of these outages. No less than 3 such persons contacted me recently. Whilst these outages might have been unscheduled, APUA needs a plan as how to deal with it because the constant on and off and on and off again is hurting consumers – residential and business alike. As a good corporate citizen, APUA need to compensate customers for damaged done to their household appliances.

  2. This is the economic power house that the PM boasts of. APUA needs to be privatized, Government is incapable of providing reliable power. Ask Barbadians how many power cuts they endure annually, practically none.

I was in Barbados recently for two weeks and within that time there were at least two power cuts, and there was rationing of water as well. APUA needs to do better, but Barbados also has its own challenges. Folks like you need to stop spreading the false narrative that Barbados is utopia.

The funny thing about this is the electricity manager can’t seem to run anything under his watch but to chase other engineers from Apua in his bad mindedness, that plant was handed over from Hadeed working, and beside the fact Hadeed engineers are able to keep their plant running by real engineers, this call for a proper electrical engineer with internship or experience.
