The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) Water Business Unit has advised that mainline installation works are underway along Barnacle Main Road, Cedar Valley Main Road, and Conference Drive leading into the New Winthorpes area.
According to the utility, temporary road closures and traffic disruptions will continue intermittently as crews advance the project.
APUA said the works form part of the final stages of preparation for the soon-to-be-commissioned 2-million-imperial-gallon Reverse Osmosis Plant, which is expected to strengthen the island’s water supply system.
The Authority thanked residents and motorists for their patience and understanding, noting that the upgrades are essential to improving Antigua’s water network.

Sounds promising, let’s just hope the project stays on schedule and actually improves supply.
