The Antigua Public Utilities Authority (APUA) says it has completed the replacement of a section of corroded six-inch water main along Sir Sydney Walling Highway as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the island’s water network.
In a statement, the utility said work will continue along the highway with the replacement of additional sections of the mainline leading towards Independence Drive.
According to APUA, the upgrades are aimed at improving the reliability of water delivery to communities across Antigua and Barbuda.
The authority has been rolling out a series of infrastructure works in recent months to address ageing pipes and enhance water distribution capacity.

No major traffic disruptions were reported during the initial phase of the project.
