Benna Girls Triumph Over Belize with 5-3 Victory in U20 Showdown

Antigua and Barbuda’s U20 Benna Girls secured a 5-3 victory over Belize in their final Group A match, capping off their campaign with a spirited performance at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG).

The team came out strong in the first half, taking a commanding 4-2 lead by halftime. Ajahna Martin opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, followed by a quick goal from Iressiea Allen in the 24th.

An own goal from Belize’s Riann Acal in the 28th minute further boosted the Benna Girls, and Gabrielle De Suza added another in the 38th to maintain momentum.

In the second half, De Suza found the back of the net again to seal the 5-3 victory.

Despite the win, the team did not advance to the next round, but their performance showcased resilience, skill, and determination.

The Benna Girls have made their country proud, displaying exceptional teamwork and spirit throughout the tournament.
