Samory Christopher’s Journey from Antigua to New York City’s runway

by Mike sterling

From the shores of Antigua to the runways of New York, model Samory Christopher is carving out a place for himself in the global fashion industry.

Christopher left his island home with little more than determination and a dream that once seemed out of reach. That dream is now taking shape as he appears on the catwalk at New York Fashion Week, representing international brands including KidSuper, Daveed Baptiste, Theophilio and others.

Beyond the bright lights and applause, Christopher says his journey is driven by a deeper purpose. Each step on the runway, he believes, honours his parents, his family, and the country he represents.

Although he longs to be with his mother back in Antigua, he accepts the sacrifice of distance in the hope that his path can help transform both of their lives.

Carrying the Antigua and Barbuda flag with pride, Christopher brings the spirit of his homeland to the world stage. His story, he says, is not only about fashion but also about legacy — proof that greatness can emerge from small islands and that dreams can stretch far beyond borders.

  3. Great to read such good news. Congratulations young man. Keep your head on your shoulders and remember the words of another great Green bay personality, King Obstinate, ‘Walk good and take care of your head – ’cause your brains are in it’.
