Antigua Yacht Club Fire Likely Caused by Lightning Strike

3

Preliminary findings indicate that a lightning strike was the probable trigger for the destructive fire that engulfed the Antigua Yacht Club Marina (AYCM) and adjacent businesses in Falmouth Harbour.

AYCM owner Carlo Falcone delivered this assessment during a Cabinet update prompted by the fire’s occurrence during Tropical Storm Philippe.

While the exact cost of the damage remains uncalculated, it is expected to be in the millions of dollars.

Falcone’s insurance company has dispatched an investigator to evaluate the losses.

The valiant efforts of the fire department in containing the blaze earned praise, considering the risks posed by lightning, high winds, and waves.

  1. Every where is war! War! Rumors of wars.
Possible lightning strike they say🤣🤣😇. The forces of nature have been recreated by man to use at their convenience to send a messsage and cause destruction.
Just like the Alfa Nero is this destruction a casualty of war?
Lazer beams can not only create the same effect as a lightning strike they have pin point accuracy.

    • Mister, Really? Really? An “APUA surge,” hmmmnnn@Mr. Really?
An “APUA surge,” during a storm when several areas were without power. Really, Mr. Really?
Then if this “APUA surge” occurred in the English Harbour Area, were other houses/buildings which would’ve experienced, the same “APUA surge” effected in ways such as damages to their appliances. blown bulbs, tripped breakers etc.?
The Insurance companies whose policies these businesses were under, should bring in expert fire and other forensic investigators, to be certain as to the origin of the fire, its spread patterns etc., since these claims will more than likely run into the millions.

Question: Is the port of English and Falmouth Harbour equipped with a Fire Boat which can utilize the sea water to help put out fires?
One would hope so for an area which accommodates billions of dollars in assets(yachts and other vessels)?
Do the island even have a Fire Boat such as a converted Tug Boat which can handle storms?

It time to get real and keep it real Mr. Reality?
