A Boeing 737-800 freighter operated by 7Air Cargo made its inaugural arrival at VC Bird International Airport on Wednesday morning, greeted by a ceremonial water cannon salute.

The Miami-based cargo carrier, a wholly owned subsidiary of Xtreme Aviation LLC and part of the Xtreme Group, specialises in freight services across Central America and the Caribbean. Its operations include ACMI leasing, full and scheduled charters, as well as ad-hoc cargo flights.

Fully certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), 7Air Cargo operates a fleet of Boeing 737-800 freighters, focusing on the safe and reliable movement of goods throughout the region.

Airport officials said the arrival reflects Antigua and Barbuda’s growing role as a logistics hub in the Eastern Caribbean.
