Antigua boosts cargo capacity with launch of 7 Air Cargo service
Antigua and Barbuda has strengthened its cargo transport network with the official launch of 7 Air Cargo, which made its inaugural flight from Miami to V.C. Bird International Airport today.
The new service will operate every Wednesday, offering businesses and residents a consistent shipping option. Officials say the addition will expand capacity, improve reliability, and help meet rising demand for imports and exports between Antigua and the United States.
The Miami route is already served by Amerijet, but the arrival of 7 Air Cargo gives Antigua a second dedicated carrier, expected to ease supply chain pressures and provide more flexibility for importers.
Industry analysts note that Miami remains a vital hub for regional trade, and the introduction of an additional weekly service marks a step forward in strengthening Antigua’s logistics and economic resilience.

Antigua would welcome Putin with a water cannon salute.
@Tamisha: Antigua should give you a water cannon salute with sewage water. You would love it – a pig🐷 wallowing in the mud💩!
Praise Jah. Finally competition for Amerijet. We have suffered with Amerijet. Their service is unreliable and at peak times like Christmas, they concentrate on the larger markets like Barbados and St.Maarten and Antigua is left waiting until they feel like coming.
Is this new service going to be weekly? Do they have a local office or handling agent?
They need 2 flights weekly to give Amerijet real competition
Need this since Amerijet has proven itself a waste of time
It would be great if they could get the route out of JFK New York area.
More cargo flights, more business opportunities. Antigua could use this.
Two is better than one. More cargo more customers. Happier people
Well well thank God. Amerijet cannot hold us hostage anymore
Get rid of Amerijet..They provide the worst service ever..!!!
I just hope that our local shipping companies have the good sense to make use of both
@Anonymous why is that necessary. Why do you need to tear down somebody for expressing an opinion which is not directed at another person.
It’s great to have options. But the option we need most right now is a way to avoid buying goods from the US. Once those tariffs really kick in (and no, the supreme court won’t shut the tariffs down), America’s prices will soar and our desire to buy from America will sour… More cargo options are great but we also need to be able to avoid buying tariffed goods from the US because that would greatly increase our own local cost of living.
