The island’s first-ever Truck Fest, a celebration of heavy machinery and community spirit, is set to take place on Sunday, 21st September. The event will be held at the Jack Idle site on the Sir Sidney Walling Highway.
Presented by Young Jugglaz and B.A. Heavy Enterprise, the festival promises a day of family-oriented entertainment centred around the industrial vehicles that power the local economy.
Organisers have announced a lineup of attractions designed to appeal to all ages, including static displays of various commercial vehicles such as dump trucks and flatbeds, family-friendly games and activities, and a selection of food and drink from local vendors.
A highlight of the event will be an opportunity for truck owners to showcase their vehicles, with more details on potential competitions and prizes to be announced in the coming weeks.
Admission has been set at $20 for adults and $10 for children, making it an affordable day out for families. The event organisers are encouraging the community to come together for this unique occasion.
“The response has been tremendous so far,” said a spokesperson for the event.
“This is a chance for families to get up close with these incredible machines and for our drivers to be celebrated. We’re building an event that we hope will become a staple in the Antiguan calendar.”
