The American University of Antigua (AUA) has been confirmed as the venue for the 55th General Assembly of the Organization of American States (OAS), set for June 2025.

Chief of Staff Lionel Hurst highlighted coordination efforts between AUA and the government to prevent student displacement. This event, following the SIDS4 conference, marks Antigua and Barbuda’s second major international gathering.

Preparations by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are underway, with an estimated budget of $7 million and plans to engage international partners.

Delegates from all 34 OAS member states, each expected to send four representatives, along with a 70-member OAS support team, will attend the four-day event.

  1. Has the issue with the school not paying their American students the millions in US Government financial aid been resolved?

  2. The can afford rent for their main offices on Wall Street in NYC, host conferences in their conference center they used our tuition money for, yet us students still have yet to have our financial aid disbursements given to us 3 months into the semester???
