Antigua Mourns Loss of C&C Wine House Owner, Claudine Vierstraete

Claudine Vierstraete, the owner of C&C Wine House in Redcliffe Quay, Antigua, passed away at 63 on October 4 following a short battle with cancer.

Friends, colleagues, and staff gathered at her eatery to pay their respects, while her funeral service was streamed for those in Antigua.

The local community remembered her warmly. Michelle Bates, owner of Silver Chelles, described her as an “amazing businesswoman and friend.”

Noreen Phillips, a nearby couturier, praised her restaurant.

The Antigua Trades and Labour Union recognized her efforts in improving working standards for restaurant employees.

Vierstraete, a former professional cyclist, leaves a lasting legacy.
