Britain on Friday listed Antigua & Barbuda among more than 50 countries exempted from its COVID-19 quarantine rules, but excluded the United States, which yesterday posted a record 53,000 new cases of the virus.
This means travellers can visit the named countries for holidays without being quarantined for 14 days on return as of July 10, unless they have visited or stopped in any other country or territory in the preceding 14 days.
Other Caribbean countries on the list Jamaica, The Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.
The British Government said the list may be updated over the coming days following further discussions between the United Kingdom and international partners.
Most travellers to the UK currently have to self-isolate for two weeks.

Where are the haters? The serpant and the knight in shining armor must have twisted and turned in their beds all night.
I wish Antigua would put a hold on travel from the USA, until they get their act together…probably some time after November..
I somehow share your sentiments. But the reality is that is where our market it. Short flight and great connectivity. Its like having someone coming in your shop and spend a lot of money but you do not like his looks or smell. But his money is good. So in order words we wan their money but we don’t want them.
KNIGHT and SERPENT are Antigua HATERS. We in St. Georges are awaiting Serpent to run in this Constituency.
No Serpent can win in St. Georges. Hon. Dean Jonas will win BIG time in St. Georges.
Can anyone tell me what would happen regarding entrance into Antigua at VC Bird international today. I would fly from London Heathrow and then when I land I would stay at my own property in Antigua. What are the Antiguan entrance protocols at this present time. Thanks.
