Antigua Cruise Port has placed the spotlight on one of its senior managers, Andre, as part of a staff recognition initiative by Global Ports Holding (GPH).
Andre currently serves as Health, Safety, and Compliance Manager, as well as Deputy Port Facility Security Officer. He began his career at the cruise port as a Health, Safety, and Logistics Supervisor before rising through the ranks.
On 1 August 2023, he was promoted to Port Facility Security Officer and Health & Safety Officer, a milestone that marked his growing influence in safety and regulatory oversight. He now plays a central role in developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programmes to ensure compliance at Antigua Cruise Port.
Originally from Antigua and Barbuda, Andre has been with GPH for six years and speaks English. The company also shared a personal detail, noting that he once spent four days vacationing in a treehouse.
Global Ports Holding said the recognition was part of its efforts to celebrate staff contributions and highlight the people behind its operations.
