Construction has started on a new Day Club pool at the Antigua Cruise Port, marking another phase in the ongoing upland development project aimed at enhancing visitor experiences on the island.
Port officials said the pool will form part of a leisure-focused space designed for both cruise passengers and locals, adding to the range of amenities available while ships are in port.
Work is also progressing on roofing across new retail kiosks and storefronts, with the structures expected to house a mix of duty-free outlets, food and beverage services, and locally owned businesses.
The developments are part of a broader effort to modernise the cruise port and strengthen Antigua and Barbuda’s position as a preferred destination in the regional cruise industry.
With construction advancing on multiple fronts, Antigua Cruise Port said it is preparing to introduce a new set of features and experiences ahead of the 2026/2027 cruise season.
