The contestant from Antigua & Barbuda has won the 2017 Miss Jaycees International Pageant.
Ayanna Dorsette out-performed 14 beauties from across the region to with the region’s most coveted queen title at Antigua Recreation Grounds.
“I enter the competition with Antigua and Barbuda on my shoulders, knowing that it is the 60th year and I had the intention of bringing it back home to Antigua, and I did just that, I feel so happy,” the new Miss Jaycees told reporters.
She plans to do more to raise awareness on climate change during her reign.
“The theme is celebrating our environment, and we know that climate change is real and I don’t want Antigua to suffer so that I will put actions in place with the relevant authorities,” Dorsette said.
