Antigua and Barbuda’s Ministry of Education has endorsed the latest initiative from communications and entertainment company Flow, which announced yesterday that it is providing free access to its online educational portal, Flow Study, to all students through June 15th in response to the COVID-19 health crisis.
Director of Education in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Clare Browne, welcomed the timely initiative. He remarked “Flow Study is an excellent solution to help our studentsremain focused and engaged in their continued learning despite the circumstances. This initiative will assist in our efforts to provide universal education to all children of Antigua and Barbuda and will allow our students to continue with classes, particularly those students who are preparing for CSEC and CAPE.”
The Flow Study program, powered by One on One, is available to all students across the country regardless of their network operator. Students age 5 to 18 will have access to the curriculum used in their schools to continue their learning during these critical times. Access is available through the Flow Study mobile apps and https://flowstudy.co/. The Flow Study platform was developed by some of the best Caribbean teachers specifically for Caribbean nationals. The virtual platform has the capacity to facilitate learning at their own pace, anytime, anywhere and from any device.
Country Manager Joe Mathieson, said, “Our company is focused on how we can support our communities via our products and services during these challenging times. Given the realities that both parents and students are facing with homeschooling, we saw this as the perfect opportunity to provide access to valuable educational content worry free. This comprehensive virtual education platform will enable all students in Antigua and Barbuda between the ages of 5 to 18 continue their studies at home at their own pace. At Flow, we remain committed to the education of our young people which is critical to the socioeconomic development of the communities that we serve”
