ABDF WOMEN IN SERVICE CONFERENCE
The Presidential suite at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium was host to the ABDF FEMALE CORPS’ Empowerment Conference and Luncheon.
The function was the culminating event of the month long celebration of ABDF women serving the nation.
Feature speaker, Mrs Ann Marie Martin, Director of Antigua National Parks Authority spoke to the ladies about her journey to her position and the challenges that will come to them as females aspiring towards leadership in a male-dominated environment.
She pointed out that having faith in God and a purpose are key to staying focused on the path to greater success in career and life.
Also present was the Deputy Principal of Irene B Williams Secondary Mrs Lisa Benjamin, the Permanent Secretary of Prime Minister Office, Dr. Carel Hodge and UWI OC Recruiting Officer, an all-female cast speaking towards empowerment and development of the ABDF FC members.
The ABDF honours the sacrifices and service of its female members who are mothers, wives, sisters who have chosen to don the unform and put the needs of a nation above their own.
There can be no H.E.R.O without H.E.R!
