Antigua and Barbuda’s PM Raises Voice for Reparatory Justice from Europe

Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne

Pointe Xpress – On Emancipation Day, PM Gaston Browne called on European countries to honor calls for reparations for the centuries of enslavement of African peoples.

He demanded that Europe acknowledge their past and make amends for the immense suffering endured by the descendants of those enslaved.

Browne emphasized the significance of Emancipation Day in recognizing the injustices of the past and the contributions of the ancestors to freedom.

He also urged for reforms in the world’s financial system to address the inequities faced by small island developing states like Antigua and Barbuda.

The plea for reparatory justice underscores the ongoing struggle for acknowledgment and restitution.

  1. Most of the wealth held by the North (UK, EU and USA) are stolen wealth.

We deserve reparations that brings about PARITY

Unfortunately Caribbean institutions are failing its people.

The Caribbean Media is among the institutions failing its people.

The Caribbean Media lack the ability and capacity to inform the public on the grave issues that can transform their lives.

No differently UWI is failing its people. Among the failures is when The vice chancellor of UWI cut a deal with The University of Glasgow.

That agreement was to the benefit of University of Glasgow where the dashiki wearing thats a visual representation of his pan Africanist style while carrying the colonial title of Sir Hillary.
The chap an academician fails to recognize the contradiction.

Gaston and his Exec. Cabinet Member cut a deal with the President of Harvard University where he accepted a few online course for Five Islands UWI as reparations. Our forefathers and mothers who toiled on the Royall Plantations are turning over.

These clowns accepted a few online business and management courses for Five Islands as reparations.

The Reparation Committees across the Caribbean are also part of a clown show.

They have not sort out the documentary evidence necessary to make a case for reparations with PARITY on the basis the wealth belongs to us

Like in the case of The Glasgow University and the embarrassing “get out of reparations” deal with UWI Gaston is about to embark on another major generational give away.

    BTW:
Have anyone said Thank You to the African American Harvard Law School students who risked their professional futures?

Has any Caribbean media ever thought to interview them in the bold and risky actions they took?

The Caribbean media are enablers in allowing these travesty of the Gaston and Hillery Beckles false flags to spread without outrage.

The following should be coming from UWI historians and not university of London

  2. @ Gaston brown so call reparation justice
I am at lost, because all he does is empower the off spring of former slave owners assist them with wealth extraction, even marijuana he gave them first opportunity to make wealth and extract as slave days. Some body hit them head. No personal disrespect to the prime minister because I am not coming from no political angle. My people survival am thinking of and world wide black injustice perpetuated by our same leaders who more seem to be dealers. Just there for the money.

  7. They only talk about reparations so they can reap money. These leaders in Antigua and those who are in hiring positions carry on slave drivers and colonialists dirty ways of holding back their own black people in Antigua. I will never stop mentioning how the PS for the ministry of education told me to my face that my resume and qualifications was outstanding but the only push back I will get is the reason why I lock up my hair. These are the same heads of learning institutions who hold children back from obtaining an education because they have locs and their family are Rasta. This whole emancipation day is just for show because these people hearts are not clean and they have no love for their own dark skin people. This emancipation celebration is just as fake as black history month. They just do things for show with no love in their hearts for their own black people.

  8. The reparations committee do not represent me and my luv for Africa. How in the world can you call for reparations and do not hold the church accountable for their primary role in slavery. Without the church’s financial backing and approval those ships would have never sailed. This reparations committee are some true slaves to the church and the system. Pure hypocrites sitting in a church that enslaved your ancestors and you talking about reparations and injustice lol true devil worshipers.

  9. Why is it so difficult to open a bank account these days. This has increased the unbanked population. The same people who stole our wealth are the same people who create this KYC bullshit. We are slaves for life.
