Antigua and Barbuda is preparing to take part in Carifesta, the Caribbean’s premier cultural festival, set for Barbados from 22 to 31 August.
The Ministry of Creative Industries, through the Cultural Department, is coordinating the country’s participation.
Creative Industries Minister Daryll Matthew said a delegation of 80 to 90 members will represent the twin-island nation, highlighting its cultural heritage to regional and international audiences.
The contingent will feature the Hell’s Gate Steelband, traditional masqueraders, arts and crafts, and a culinary showcase with a focus on local delicacies such as lobster.

Would be awesome if they livestream some of the performances for those of us who can’t make it to Barbados.
