Antigua and Barbuda is set to launch its first crematory, introducing a new option for families beyond traditional burials.
Meyer’s Funeral Home said the facility will initially offer direct cremation services, allowing families to hold memorials separately.
A full range of services, including on-site cremation and a chapel for remembrance ceremonies, will follow in the coming months. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHAT’S APP GROUP

The funeral home described the project as “a transformative step” in providing comfort and choice, with plans to cater to cultural and religious traditions. CLICK HERE TO JOIN OUR WHAT’S APP GROUP

Atleast families will be given a chance to choose beyond the norm
Meyer’s Funeral Home? So there will be a third funeral home on island?
Crematorium services are long overdue on this tiny island. Hopefully, this additional service will deal with the lack of burial spaces, and then giving Antiguans another choice in dealing with our dear departed.
Not ideal for the traditionalist, but an option nonetheless that can no longer be ignored.
Nice
I smell a rat. How come a crematory is being opened in Antigua right after two sisters of Antiguan parents born in Canada put their proposal for the same thing to Cabinet and was turned down? One should go check the Registrar of Companies and see who are the share holders in this new Funeral home. I can remember years ago when one Conrad Perry put his proposal to Cabinet for Cable TV to be introduced in Antigua. Mr. Perry waited and waited for a reply from Cabinet and the next thing he heard over the airwaves is that a Cable TV company had been given license to operate. When he dug deeper he found out who the owners were for CTV. GO FIGURE.
Whether by BURIAL or CREMATION, every human being that ever lived will be resurrected
” And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.” ~John 5:29
” And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. ”
” And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.”
@Real Talk…in what form will a burnt person be resurrected? Is it a case where the ashes will transform itself back into a human? Asking for a friend.
Your body will not resurrect. You body becomes ash. You soul cannot be burnt and that is what will be resurrect.
@ Little Johnny….the friend wants to know where is the soul right now of the dead especially those that dies thousands of years ago.
What difference does it make? The same God that can make the sea give up its dead can raise persons from the dirt or the ashes. The important thing is, will YOU be ready? ALL will stand before God in our flesh…to answer for the things we did in it. The righteous will go to everlasting life, the others to everlasting damnation. The only way to escape is the new birth…John 3:5, Acts 2:38. It is your God-given right to choose. Choose wisely.
