6th Annual Heart & Stroke Symposium to Focus on Navigating Modern Health

The Heart & Stroke Foundation of Antigua and Barbuda is set to host its 6th Annual Cardiac Symposium on February 16, 2025, at the Sandals Grande Antigua from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This year’s theme, “Navigating Modern Health: Technology, Mental Well-being, Stroke & Cardiac Care,” underscores the integration of technology and mental health into the management of heart disease and stroke.

The symposium, which will be held as a hybrid event, offers both in-person and virtual participation and provides an opportunity to earn 5 Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits. Physicians and allied health professionals are invited to register, with fees set at $250 for physicians and $200 for allied health professionals. Tickets are available via Ticketing.

The event will feature an esteemed lineup of speakers, including:

  • Dr. Gillian Gordon-Perue – Consultant Neurologist from Florida, USA.
  • Dr. Gaden Osborne – Consultant Neurologist based in Antigua and Barbuda.
  • Dr. Victor Elliot – Interventional Cardiologist from Jamaica.
  • Dr. Daniel Quesada – Consultant Cardiologist from Costa Rica.
  • Dr. Chenelle Joseph – Psychiatrist and Internal Medicine Specialist from Antigua and Barbuda.

The symposium will address critical topics such as advancements in cardiac and stroke care, the role of technology in healthcare, and the importance of mental well-being in patient recovery and management.
