Antigua and Barbuda to Challenge U.S. Court Request for Bank Account Information on Individuals and Entities

If nothing is there to hide and everything is above board let the process play out, then the nation will have more confidence in anything you say to us, you can bet you will have my support 100% Mr. PM and even my vote

If everything is above board why not just give it to them?

Why should Antigua challenge the request?
I have heard Gaston Browne on his radio station reading out people’s personal banking information.
Is it let me do and no one else should do?
Do we have a ministry of hypocrisy? Who is the minister?

Two things here:

1. The US can’t even get Donald Trump, their own president to pay taxes, let along see his financial records for the years he’s been in politics, but they want to demand to see other people’s accounts outside of the US. They can’t bully their own but they wanna bully others.

2. The government of Antigua and Barbuda touching Alfa Nero was a huge mistake. This ghost will haunt them for years to come. Why be such a bully to sell something that doesn’t belong to you just to gain money? Huge mistake.

Now they are trying to spin this as if the fight is with the US courts? lol.

The only reason the US courts are hearing this matter, it’s because the banking system in The US was used for this greedy expedition by this corrupt administration, and here they are again trying to bamboozle the Antigua citizens with their spins. lol.

Mr. PM and the cabinet of Antigua and Barbuda, your resistance to provide the information from the local banks here as requested by the U.S Courts does not prevent them from obtaining the information from the Corresponding Banks in the U.S. Every transaction, wire transfer done here is reflected back to the Corresponding Banks in the U.S. So don’t be naive Mr. PM what do you have to hide?

All US Citizens have to declare their offshore accounts annually via a FINCEN report. Antiguans should NOT have to declare their accounts. Dual Antiguan/USA Citizens for sure.

Any auditor or trouble-shooter would look into and investigate any fraudulent practices in financial and business matters. It’s their job to look out for deceptive practices.

One thing that an auditor/investigator must always be aware of is INCESSANT chatter and the lack of documentation when interviewing senior public figures or those ob management.

A 95-100% audit pass rate back up by all documentation is a must in all financial matters, and anything below this must be thoroughly investigated.

So when I hear that someone is reluctant to be transparent and show evidence or a paper/monetary trail of transactions, I’m immediately suspicious.

Hopefully, the Prime Minister and his team will reveal the necessary documents to prove otherwise, and not only to clear the their names but to restore the good name of this country internationally.

It’s understandable, that Gaston Browne and.his Cabinet must appear as standing firm on #quik_sand but no Federal Judge is going to reverse the Ruling which allows for the discovery phase. The lawyers for the Russians had to have presented enough evidence(s), in their briefs before the Court for such a request to be granted.

Less We Forget wasn’t there an issue (threatened lawsuit), by an individual who had made the claim, that he was the first buyer before the Google executive, and that he had already made deposits to the effect?

Darwin Telemaque who allegedly, is a Naturalised American Citizen is the WILD CARD in this Alfa Nero Saga. If, he is an American Citizen, they can request his US tax returns?
If Maria Bird-Browne is an American Citizen like her uncle Lester Bird, she too have to file US Tax Returns.
If the family members of Gaston are American citizens, they too must file US Tax Returns.

When all of the Alfa Nero lawsuits are finally played out at…
A… Privy Council (the Russians will go there, if the Caribbean Courts does not give them their desired results).

B…the US Supreme Court because, the Federal Judge is not going to reverse this decision, regarding the [discovery] phase.

C…the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation.

The millions of dollars which will be spent to defend Gaston and everyone else in these Courts will be enough to at least finish building and outfitting a proper Forensic Lab.

The call is for the Money-Hawk to present what was requested, so how did our Cabinet get involved? We were left in the dark and now he’s looking support from us .

Let me make it clear. I am not impuning anyone’s guilt. But why drag the Antiguan and Barbudan tax payers through what would be a huge bill to the nation in order to fight this. What are you trying to prove? We cannot afford the burden of this useless legal fight. If the police came to my house on the suspicion and presumption that I have drugs and other contraband inside, why would I spend hundreds of thousands and perhaps millions of dollars trying to prove I have nothing inside if that is really the case. My biggest concern is that tax payers are gonna be saddled with an unnecessary bill at a time when monies are scarce.

If the request or court order is to look into persons ‘private accounts’ why are taxpayers paying to defend the persons who own these private accounts?

These are not government accounts.

I don’t think that taxpayers should be paying for this.
