The Antigua and Barbuda Cabinet extends its full support and well wishes to these scholars.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Gaston Browne and Cabinet members, the importance of striking a balance between enjoyment and academic dedication was emphasized.

The scholars were encouraged to prioritize completing their studies and attaining post-graduate degrees to pave the way for future growth.

The Prime Minister stressed the significance of global competitiveness and representing their nation while in China.

The scholarships are a result of the Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme, facilitated by the PRC Embassy in St. John’s.

  1. Congratulations students! We look forward to your eventual return and contribution to nation building. Stay safe.

  2. Congratulations to all the students. I wish the ministry could put out a report as to how many of our students so far have benefited from this program. The same needs to be done for all that went to study in other countries and have obtained their degree, Free of Charge. Some parents are paying back students’ loans fifteen years or more after their child graduated. And it would also be nice to know how many of them speak the language of the country in which they studied. The PM needs to look into this when he is awarding persons ambassadorship. We have many young people today that speak Mandarin. Choose one of them to become Ambassador to China. Or to at least work in the ministry of Foreign Affair.
