Antigua and Barbuda Record Unusually Cool Night
Antigua and Barbuda experienced a chilly night on Thursday, with temperatures dropping to a minimum of 17°C (63°F), according to climatologist Dale Destin of 268Weather.
Some areas are believed to have recorded even lower temperatures, as historical data indicates inland locations can be up to 7°C cooler than the official readings at V.C. Bird International Airport.
The cool spell comes as parts of North America and Europe also face low temperatures. In recent days, New York recorded 22°F (-5.6°C), while London saw temperatures dip to 23°F (-5°C).
Unseasonal weather patterns are likely to blame for the cooler nights in the Caribbean nation, with residents urged to prepare for the possibility of more brisk evenings in the weeks ahead.
