Antigua and Barbuda have strengthened ties with China by inaugurating their Embassy in Beijing. Prime Minister Gaston Browne led the ceremony and announced plans to appoint a permanent Ambassador soon.
The main purpose of the Prime Minister’s visit is to attract more investment to Antigua and Barbuda while enhancing trade connections with China.
Browne commended China’s significant role in the socio-economic development of his country, labeling it as the “most philanthropic country globally.”
The opening of the Embassy was warmly embraced by Antiguan and Barbudan students studying in China, who showed enthusiastic support.
