The Antigua and Barbuda Labour Party is preparing for the January 2028 general election by holding primary elections to choose candidates.

Tonight’s primary in All Saints West will select the party’s interim standard bearer. Three candidates are competing: Regis Burton, Lamin Newton, and Arrie Simon.

Only registered party members in the constituency can participate, with over 750 expected to vote.

The party’s secretariat, led by Sen. Mary Clare Hurst, will count the ballots with PKS auditors. This proactive candidate selection aims to strengthen connections with constituents before the general election.

Stay tuned for updates on upcoming primaries in other constituencies.

  1. The constituents of All Saints have the same mindset as the Barbudan’s – they don’t want nothing to do with the ABLP or Gaston Browne.

    Well done … 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

  2. That one in the center picture above. He has a lot of nerves. He ran on the UPP Political Party Ticket. While he was an ABLP under cover operative. His name is LAZY-MEN.

  3. Look at who Gaston is always picking to join his party? Pretty face men. He likes pretty face people. Check it out. This does not go for the opportunist in the Center.

  4. UPP scratched the bottom of the barrel to find a drug runner to give to the ALP to represent them in All Saints West.
