aw#SxOn March 10, Antigua and Barbuda observed the International Day of Women Judges, which highlights women’s representation in judicial systems.
Justice Nicola Byer of the Family Court acknowledged challenges female judges face, including balancing work and family life and not always being taken as seriously as male counterparts.
She embraced the observance as a celebration of sisterhood, emphasizing the importance of supporting fellow female judges rather than undermining them.

I swear this is the first time I’m hearing if this observance. I guess Antigua judges were celebrating in silence for the past couple years.
Justice Byer you are indeed right. Men really have it easy
Women judges bring a different perspective to the courts. Respect to them.
More power to the ladies in law! Hope we see even more of them in high positions.
We need to encourage young girls to step up into these roles too. Representation matters!
Respect due! Women judges help make the system fair and balanced.
This is all well and good, but what about addressing gender bias in the legal system?
Women judges work twice as hard to get the respect they deserve. Glad they’re being acknowledged.

Long live our beautiful caribbean ladies
This is a little strange
Wow it looks like this is a year of the celebration of women in all areas which is a good thing. They really need to be recognized more and as the judge says, taken for granted less. They are the backbone of many countries.. Us men just don’t want to accept it
