ST. JOHN’S, Antigua — Authorities are urging accommodation providers to register their properties for the 2026 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM), as the country prepares to host thousands of international delegates later this year.
The Ministry of Tourism said Antigua and Barbuda is expected to welcome approximately 5,000 delegates for the summit, scheduled for Nov. 1–4, 2026, and described the event as a major opportunity for local property owners to benefit from increased demand.
Officials said registered properties will be included in the official CHOGM 2026 accommodation listing, positioning them for potential delegate bookings and greater international exposure. The initiative is also aimed at showcasing local hospitality to a global audience.
The ministry noted that participation could lead to higher occupancy levels during the event, while helping to standardize accommodation offerings for visiting delegations.
The submission deadline for registration is March 31, 2026. Accommodation providers are required to apply through the official CHOGM 2026 Accommodation Secretariat.
