Antigua and Barbuda Gears Up for 2024 Census

1
The Ministry of Finance and Corporate Governance’s Statistics Division is actively preparing for the 2024 Census through the Mapping and Listing Exercise.
This critical pre-enumeration activity is foundational for the Census Office’s work, aiding in the identification of houses and businesses efficiently.
The Population and Housing Census, scheduled for later this year, involves three stages: pre-enumeration, enumeration (data collection), and post-enumeration.
The pre-enumeration phase ensures accurate maps for efficient enumeration.
Ten trained field officers, equipped with official IDs and branded T-shirts, will conduct the exercise from January 26 to March 31, 2024.
The Census Office emphasizes public cooperation during visits for a successful census, as the gathered data will be verified, analyzed, and used for statistical reports.

  1. “Houses and businesses?”

The Minister misses out an important factor in the 2024 census that many Antiguans are looking forward to seeing.

What percentage of migrants are now residing here as opposed to indigenous Antiguans?
