Antigua and Barbuda Football Association to host the FIFA Referee Assistance Programme Course

The Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) is pleased to announce its hosting of the FIFA RAP Course from 8th to 11th May 2025.

This Referee development course which consists of both a theoretical and practical component will be attended by over twenty- seven active referees who are currently working in the ABFA’s Referees department.

The theoretical component will be held at the Harrison Center conference room, while all practical components will be held at the ABFA’s technical center on Sir Sidney Walling Hgwy.

The course which is aimed at enhancing the continuous growth and development of our Referees in Antigua, will be supervised by Mr. Joseph Audi, FIFA Technical instructor from Canada and Javier

Santos, FIFA Referee development Officer for the English-speaking region in CONCACAF.

Our national technical instructors, Ishan Phillip and Darez Dundas will also form part of the team of

instructors for the upcoming course. Philp is currently a CONCACAF Referee Technical instructor while Diaz is a CONCACAF Academy instructor student for 2025.

Both have recently participated in the FIFA Referee regional instructors course held in Costa Rica.

Head of the ABFA’s Referees Department, Ms. Kelesha Antoine expressed delight in hosting the upcoming course which supports her departments agenda of continuous training and development for our national referees.

Antoine also indicated that the ABFA is on a mission to build a larger population of referees, therefore encouraging persons who have interest in becoming a referee to contact the office of the ABFA for further guidance.
