Antigua and Barbuda Celebrates Historic Domino Championship Victory

Antigua and Barbuda has etched its name into history by becoming the first nation to secure four consecutive titles at the World Domino Championships.

The Wadadli Warriors, representing Antigua and Barbuda, clinched victory at the 20th edition of the tournament, held this year, adding to their previous triumphs in 2016, 2018, and 2023. The result cements their dominance in the sport and marks the nation as the first to achieve a “four-peat” in the competition’s history.

This year’s contest ended in a tie for first place, with Antigua and Barbuda sharing the top position with St Kitts and Nevis, both finishing on 13 points. Barbados claimed third place with five points.

Local organisations and supporters celebrated the achievement, with Antigua Cruise Port among those congratulating the team and highlighting the unity and cultural pride the victory represents.

The win has sparked national pride across Antigua and Barbuda, where domino is considered more than just a pastime, but a cultural tradition.
