Those relationships have proven to be very beneficial to our development. No matter how bad the Venezuelans have it, they are still given Antigua and Barbuda the helping hand. Hundreds of millions in debt forgiveness and tens of millions in Grant Funding. The PARIS group will not even forgive us for debt from way before our independence. You would think Brittain would have settled that on our behalf. It’s like taking out a student loan for your child and when he finishes college you tell him and now continue taking care of your student loan. That child would be burdened paying back that student loan for the most part of his working life. We see that in the USA a lot. Biden by presidential order just wiped out many of these loans to give people some breathing room. Many student loans are like mortgages. They stay with you for as long as thirty years.
Venezuela suffering from the USA sanctions, but Antiguans and Barbudans benefitting from the Petro Carib Agreement. One of the good things put in place by the UPP under Baldwin Spencer, led by Ambassador Joan Underwood.
The less fortunate are up until this day receiving $215.00 per month to spend on groceries at places like CMC and Antigua Fisheries. And the pensioners receive monthly a $100 Utility voucher which they can use towards payment of their utilities. Mind you I will not comment on the flawed in the program. Which are many. These subsidies make possible by the Venezuelan PDV Carib agreement is not costing us anything, but its lost revenue for Venezuela and by extension the people of Venezuela. For this we have to say thank you Venezuela for being such a generous friend to us.
Thank you Venezuela.
SOLIDARITY FOREVER!
big up Nicolas MADURO
Long Live Venezuela and the friendship between our peoples. We are eternally grateful for all the assistance provided and we Antiguans and Barbudans live for the day when we can give to this friendship/relationship as much as we receive ❤️.
I wish I would live to see that they when Antiguans and Barbudans return gratitude to the nation of Venezuela. I will not hold my breath though.
