Congratulation to the youngsters, happy to see an interest in the high jump category. I believe Ms Priscilla Frederick was the last athlete to represent us in this field event on the international front, so let’s make her proud.
Parents stop depending on Government for everything, if your youngsters have an interest in athletics and you see the potential, spend your money and invest in your kid, transport him or her back and forth to their training practices, and give them all the support and equipment needed from their junior years, onwards to fulfill their dreams.
The Coco Gauffs, and Tigers of the world, even though their schools may be fully equipped with everything needed, parents still saw it fit to invest in training camps and take time out to transport them to all of their events, now look at the end result. To the young high jumper, I don’t know how large your back yard is, but as a parent, a nice little set up would be great.
