Antigua & Barbuda is eagerly anticipating the upcoming announcement by U.S. Ambassador Roger Nhyus regarding the establishment of a U.S. Embassy on the island, expected later this year.

The development is highly anticipated, as it promises new opportunities and aims to strengthen the bilateral relationship between the two nations.

Ambassador Nhyus expressed his support for the decision to expand the number of U.S. embassies in the sub-region by two.

Following U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris’ announcement, he assured the public that the decision would be disclosed in the coming months.

Should Antigua be chosen, a site on Marble Hill, referred to as ‘Embassy Row,’ has already been identified by government officials.

  1. What a crocked and misleading headline. I would be surprised if St. Lucia, St. Vincent, or St. Kitts were selected as there are no Chinese presence on these Islands.

  2. This is a good idea it will also put more money in the country nabour island will have it easier from traveling all the way to babados and Trinidad cost of leaving is very hard now

  3. A us embassy only signal to me that they are here to sure up white property ownership in the case of Barbuda where there is a land fight, the puppet is given commitment of remaining in power as long as white monopoly capital domination is maintain by his gang like administration, I am not one of the foolish Antiguan of African descent to not recognize the machinations of white hegemony and the their support of a puppet government, anytime you trouble white people the white system reacts, the privy council will make a subtle ruling that will not interfere with the Barbuda land case but just calling for responsible handling of the environment, after all it’s their white brothers and judiciary system.

  6. Ras Smood you are correct if Antigua gets the embassy it would ” only” be for the purpose of keeping an eye on the Chinese presence in the region. Remember that below ground facility is still a mystery….other than the concern over China 🇨🇳 Antigua would not be a front runner based on the reasons why the last US embassy was closed . In addition Antigua border security is at a risk to the US and other nations.

  7. The headline is very misleading. There are two Embassies planned for the Eastern Caribbean region. Not one place has been name at this time. The answers should be known by December.

  8. The only reason Antigua will get this Embassy, is because of all the corruption that happens here, and these unscrupulous people entering Antigua because of the CIP and Gatson Brownes stubbornness to make Antigua into a Chinese state.

So America will keep its spys here to watch these slippery Chinese and foreign bastards who wants to use Antigua as a hiding ground. ( Hey look at the Alpha Nero and the Antigua Airways human smuggling)

    Enough said!!

  9. why would big bad USA place a embassy in a little rinky dink island with a population of less than 100,000? Sounds foolish but world full of foolish ppl and foolish decisions.
