Anthony Athill Sworn in as New Information Commissioner

Anthony Athill has been sworn in as Antigua and Barbuda’s new Information Commissioner during a ceremony held today at Government House.

The ceremony was officiated by His Excellency Sir Clare Roberts KCN, KC, Governor-General’s Deputy, who described the role as essential to promoting transparency and accountability within government institutions.

The Office of the Information Commissioner, established under the Freedom of Information Act, is tasked with protecting the public’s right to access government information, investigating complaints regarding denied access, and providing education on the Act.
