Grammy-Nominated Songwriter and Award-Winning Antiguan Artist Drastic, known for his versatility and consistency year after year, has recently announced the release of his highly anticipated new mixtape release. Aptly titled \u201c15 Grams: The Mixtape\u201d in honor of Antigua and Barbuda\u2019s decriminalization of 15 grams of cannabis back in early 2018, the 15-track mixtape is endorsed by Antigua\u2019s Prime Minister Hon. Gaston Browne.<\/p>

The mixtape was officially released on January 10, highlighted by a packed mixtape release party that evening at Destination Area51.<\/p>\n

Featuring a number of \u201cganja remixes\u201d to popular songs in hip-hop and afro beats, the project also showcases an original and fun collaboration with Antiguan reggae artist Ras Juba entitled \u201cThey Wanna Know\u201d, setting the bar higher in terms of production, delivery and performances alike.<\/p>

Providing a plethora of new Antiguan stoner anthems, the mixtape is as personal as it is entertaining. \u201cFallen\u201d is a sort of letter to a fellow artist and friend of Drastic who died over the holidays after being shot.<\/p>

\u201cThe same day we were having the mixtape release party, I got news that they had caught Icee\u2019s shooter. That brought everything full circle for me and made the mixtape release even more memorable\u201d, said Drastic when talking about \u201cFallen\u201d.<\/p>\n

This mixtape release is only part one of two in the overall 15 Grams double album project. Part two will be an original album \u201c15 Grams: The Album\u201d, to be released on April 20, 2020. Drastic\u2019s 15 Grams projects are a combination of passion, focus and vision, and syndicates instinctive artistry with true technical expertise, bridging the gaps between the best of many worlds.<\/p>
